Different Dimension - Ditz

I februari gick jag loss på Etsy och shoppade hem en hel hög med lack från Different Dimension, det var framför allt kollektionen 80's Baby som lockade mig och de lacken är verkligen så fina som jag hade föreställt mig. Däremot har jag inte visat alla lacken för er än och jag tänkte därför passa på under denna rosa temavecka att visa lacket Ditz.

In February I went nuts on Etsy and bought a whole bunch of polishes from Different Dimension, it was the collection 80's Baby that had caught my eye and those polishes are really as beauitful as I had imagined. I haven't showed you all of them though so I'm taking the opportunity during this pink theme week to show you the polish Ditz.

Precis som resten av lacken i kollektionen så är även Ditz neonfärgat och fullt med det minsta holografiska mikroglittret man kan tänka sig. Formulan är en sann dröm, det glider över nageln som smör och torkar riktigt snabbt. Det som däremot kanske skulle kunna ses som en nackdel är att lacket torkar något matt tack vare dess neonkaraktär och topplack behövs därför för att få upp glansen och det jobbar emot den holografiska effekten som gör sig allra bäst utan topplack. Ja, ni förstår dilemmat. Men lacket är så otroligt fint ändå, jag är hur kär som helst i den här färgen!

Just like the rest of the polishes in this collection Ditz is neon and stuffed with the smallest holographic micro glitter you can imagine. The formula is a dream, it smooths out on the nail like butter and dries really fast. What can be considered as a negative quality though is that the polish dries matte thanks to it's neon nature and therefor require top coat to get some shine which works against the holographic effect that comes of best without top coat. Yeah, you understand the dilemma. But the polish is incredibly beautiful still, I'm so in love with its color!

Tyvärr var det fullständigt mulet ute när jag fotograferade det här lacket så holoeffekten är inte så tydligt men ni får ändå en liten hint av den. Men färgen! Visst är det ett fantastiskt lack?

Unfortunately it was completely cloudy outside when I photographed this polish so the holo effect isn't as visible as I would like but you can still see a hint of it. But the color! Isn't it a fantastic polish?

Holofredag: China Glaze - Sci-Fly By

Då var det dags för Skimmerskuggans Holofredag igen och jag är med denna veckan också och med ytterligare ett Hologlam-lack. Nu är det bara fyra lack kvar ur den kollektionen och jag börjar se ljuset i slutet av tunneln och kanske till och med kan lyckas få ihop en kollektionssammanfattning inom en snar framtid, det hör ju inte direkt till vanligheten på den här bloggen. 

It's time for Skimmerskuggan's Holo Friday once again and I'm praticipating this week too and with another Hologlam polish. Now there are only four polishes left from this collection and I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and maybe I can even manage to do a collection summary in the near future which doesn't happen very often at this blog.

Ännu en gång överraskar Hologlam mig med ett fantastiskt lack och man kan ju tycka att jag borde förvänta mig det vid det här laget. Men å andra sidan kan det vara en fördel att jag inte har så höga förväntningar på lacken och därmed inte heller blir besviken när jag testar dem.

Once again Hologlam surprise me with an amazing polish and you think I should expect this by now. But on the other hand it might be a good thing that I don't have high expectations on this polishes and therefor I won't get let down either as I try them out.

Sci-Fly By är ett av de ljusare blå ur kollektionen och verkligen vackert. Regnbågarna är riktigt starka i det här lacket och i solen så tappar jag nästan andan när jag ser det.

Sci-Fly By is one of the lighter blue of the collection and it is truly stunning. The rainbows are very strong in this polish and in the sun it just blows me away.

Tre lager krävdes för att jag skulle bli nöjd och eftersom lacket torkar så fort så gick det snabbt som tusan att få på dessa lager. Jag känner mer och mer att det kommer bli svårt att hitta favoriter ur den här kollektionen eftersom alla lacken är så fina.

Three coats were enough to make me satisfied and since the polish dries really fast it went super fast to paint these coats. I realize more and more that it's going to be hard to find favorites in this collection when all the polishes are this beautiful.

China Glaze - Get Outta My Space

Jag tycker att vi fortsätter med ett nytt Hologlam redan idag, det är svårt att hålla sig borta från dessa skönheter vill jag lova. Idag får ni dock se ett av de lite mindre holografiska lacken men inte är det fult för det, snarare tvärtom. Jag gillar verkligen den lila nyansen i det här lacket.

I think that we should move on with another Hologlam already today, it's hard to stay away from these beauties I tell you. Although today you get to see one of the less holographic polishes but it still isn't ugly, quite the opposite actually. I really like the purple color in this one.

Egentligen är det väl fel att säga att det här lacket är mindre holografiskt för det bildar faktiskt riktigt fina regnbågar, det är bara att de inte syns lika tydligt i den ljusa färgen som lacket har. Det här lacket kräver tre lager för att bli opakt vilket är ungefär ett lager mer än de andra Hologlam-lacken jag har testat, det torkar även något långsammare än resten. 

Actually it's wrong to say that this polish is less holographic because it really does create beautiful rainbows, it's just that they don't show as well in the bright color that this polish have. This polish need three coats to get opaque which is about one coat more than the other Hologlam I've tried, it dries a bit slower too.

Jag hoppas att China Glaze kommer släppa en liknande kollektion framöver också. Det är verkligen roligt med holografiska lack. Jag har förvandlats till min lillebror när Pokemon var som störst och mitt nya motto har blivit: Gotta catch 'em all!

I hope that China Glaze will release a similar collection again soon. It really is fun with holographic polishes. I have turned into my younger brother during the time that Pokemon were huge and my new motto has become: Gotta catch 'em all!

Holofredag: China Glaze - Infra-Red

Det blev ett lite senare inlägg än vanligt, jag hade tänkt att förbereda det igår men när jag väl kom hem från skolan var jag så trött att jag mer eller mindre stupade i säng direkt. Därför får jag skriva ihop det här inlägget nu när jag har kommit hem från jobbet istället och det fungerar ju bra det med. Idag är det åter igen dags för Skimmerskuggans holofredag och även om solen inte är framme idag så var den i alla fall det när de här bilderna togs. 

Men trots sol så lyckades jag inte ta så där väldigt bra bilder på Infra-Red. Det är inte det mest holografiska lacket ur Hologlam-kollektionen men det är i alla fall mer holografiskt än vad det ser ut som på mina bilder. Infra-Red är namnet till trots inte ett rött lack utan att mörkt rosa och även det mest färgstarka lacket ur den här kollektionen. Riktigt tjusigt är vad det är.

Formulan är likadan som med de andra Hologlam-lacken, det är lättlackat, jag behövde två lager för att det skulle bli helt opakt och det visar inga tecken på varken holosjuka eller bald spots men det kan bero på att jag använda Aqua Fix. Lacket torkar dessutom riktigt snabbt. China Glaze har verkligen lyckats med den här kollektionen, jag älskar den så här långt!

Om ni vill se otroligt fina bilder på det här lacket så ska ni titta in hos Sleepy Elin och för en massa andra fina hololack så är det så klart Skimmerskuggan som gäller i vanlig ordning.

Translation: This became a later post than usual, I was planing on preparing it yesterday but when I got home from school yesterday evening I more or less passed out in bed right away. Therefor I'm writing this now when I'm home from work and that works great too. Today it's once again time for Skimmerskuggan's Holo Friday and even if the sun isn't out today it was when these pictures were taken.

But even with sunlight I didn't manage to take very good pictures of Infra-Red. This polish hasn't got a strong holo effect like the other Hologlam polishes but it's more holographic than it looks like in my pictures. Infra-Red is regardless of it's name not a red polish but a dark pink one and it's also the most colorful polish from this collection. Gorgeous is what it is.

The formula is similar to the other Hologlams, it's easy to use, I need two coats for full coverage and it shows no sign of holo sickness or bald spots, although that might be because I used Aqua fix. Also, the polish dries really fast. China Glaze has really succeded with this collection, I love it so far!

Grön Onsdag: China Glaze - OMG a UFO

Det här lacket tänkte jag egentligen visa under Karins Grön onsdag förra veckan, sen ändrade jag mig av någon anledning och nu ändrade jag mig igen och kunde inte låta bli lacket längre. Ja, man kan nog säga att jag är lite velig. Men till mitt försvar så kan jag ju säga att lacket är otroligt vackert och mer eller mindre ropade efter mig när jag stod och funderade över gröna lack.

Så här har ni skönheten OMG a UFO från Hologlam-kollektionen vilket ni säkert redan har räknat ut. Jag kan inte direkt säga att jag ångrar att det var det här lacket som fick åka på inför dagens inlägg, däremot att jag var tvungen att ta bort det innan jobbet. OMG a UFO är ett olivgrönt holografiskt lack med linjär effekt. Galet vackert är vad det är och jag börjar genast få lite ångest över min sammanfattning av den här kollektionen då jag ska försöka rangordna lacken. Det kommer att bli tufft helt klart.

Precis som med de tidigare Hologlam-lacken så räcker det med två lager för att få det opakt. Jag grundad med Make Up Stores Aqua Fix och hade inga problem med vare sig holosjuka eller bald spots. Däremot gör mina torra nagelband att städningen efter lackning blir lite problematiskt eftersom allt sätter sig som berget, men det är ju inte lackets fel.

Translation: I was going to show you this polish during Karin's Green Wednesday last week, then I changed my mind for some reason and now I changed my mind again and couldn't keep away from the polish any longer. Yes, you can say that I have some trouble making up my mind. But to my defense this polish is amazingly beautiful and more or less called out at me when I was trying to decide which green polish to chose.

So, here you have the beauty OMG a UFO from the Hologlam collection which I'm sure you already have figured out. I can't really say that I regret that this was the polish I put on for today's post, although I do regret that I had to take it off for work. OMG a UFO is an olive green holo with linear effect. It's crazy beautiful and I'm already starting to get some anxiety over the summary I'm going to do about the collection where I have to decide which polishes I like the most. It's definitely going to be difficult.

Just like with the other Hologlam polishes it's enough with to coats for full coverage. I started with Make Up Store's Aqua Fix and had no problem with neither holodisease or bald spots. Although my cuticles are so dry that the cleaning up afterwards where really troublesome but that isn't the polish's fault.

Holofredag: China Glaze - Not In This Galaxy

Då var det Skimmerskuggans holofredag igen och jag har ju missat ett par gånger, mest på grund av att jag har haft en hel del att göra de senaste fredagarna och helt enkelt inte har haft möjlighet att fotografera och skriva. Men nu är jag tillbaka i fas igen och vad passar inte bättre än att fortsätta med ett hololack ur China Glazes Hologlam-kollektion.

Näst ut på tur står Not In This Galaxy och jag vet inte riktigt hur jag ska beskriva den här färgen. Är den laxrosa eller kanske lite mer persikofärgad? Jag kan inte bestämma mig men jag vet i alla fall att det här är den färgen jag tycker minst om av de tre jag har testat så här långt. Den är inte ful på något vis, bara möjligtvis inte riktigt min färg. Det är nog den laxrosa känslan som får mig att backa ett par steg eftersom det är en färg som jag sällan trivs i.

Det här lacket är däremot ytterligare ett som förvånar mig när jag ser det i solen, förvånar mig med tanke på hur stark holografisk effekt det har till skillnad från på de swatches jag har sett av det tidigare. Åter igen förundras jag över att de större amerikanska bloggerskorna har lyckats få så dåliga bilder. Det här är dock inte det mest holografiska lacket av de tre, inomhus är det här det som är minst iögonfallande.

Vad det gäller formulan däremot så gillar jag det här lacket bäst. Det var varken för tunt eller för tjockt utan lagom helt enkelt. Två lager krävs för full täckning och det torkar snabbt likt de två förgående lacken. Kommer jag att använda lacket igen? Absolut! Jag tycker inte illa om det på något vis, det är bara inte min favorit bland Hologlam-lacken.

Translation: It's time for Skimmerskuggan's Holo Friday again and I have missed out a couple of times, mostly because I have had so much to do these last Fridays and I simply haven't had time for photographing and writing. But now I'm back on track again and what couldn't be better than to continue with another holo from the China Glaze Hologlam collection.

Next out is Not In This Galaxy and I'm not sure how I should describe the color. Is it salmon pink or maybe a bit more peach? I can't really decide but I know that this is the color that I like the least of the three polishes I've tried this far. It's not ugly in any way, it's just not my color I guess. I think it's the feeling of salmon pink that makes me take a few steps backwards because that's a color I usually do not feel comfortable in.

On the other hand this is another polish that surprise me when I see it in the sun, surprise me with how strong it's holo effect is in contrast to the swatches I have seen of it earlier. Once again I'm amazed about how the big American bloggers have manage to take so unflattering pictures of it. Although this is not the most holographic polish out of the three, indoors it's the least eye-catching.

When it comes to the formula this is the polish that I like the most. It's not too thin nor too thick, it's just perfect. Two coats is enough for full covarage and it dries fast just like the two polishes before. Will I use it again? Absolutely! I don't dislike this polish in any way, it's just that it's not my favorite out of the Hologlam polishes.

China Glaze - When Stars Collide

Okej, jag kunde inte hålla mig borta från mina nya holografiska lack idag heller. Det är ju så svårt att låta bli när solen skiner. Idag var det When Stars Collide som åkte fram och det var nog det här lacket som jag har varit mest nyfiken på, mest för att det är så olikt andra hololack jag har stött på.

When Stars Collide är nämligen ett vinrött holografiskt lack och jag tror faktiskt aldrig att jag har sett den kombinationen tidigare. Förutom att färgen är fantastisk så överraskade lacket mig vad det gäller holoeffekt med, precis som med gårdagens Take a Trek. Det här visade sig vara mer holografiskt än vad jag trodde det skulle vara. Formulan är okej, lite tjock, men sen så täcker lacket helt på ett lager och det är ju fantastiskt bra.

Jag blir bara mer och mer positiv till Hologlam-kollektionen för varje lack jag testar. Jag ångrar mig definitivt inte för att jag köpte dem utan är snarare överlycklig!

Translation: Okey, I couldn't keep away from my new holos today either. It's so hard to leave them along when the sun is shining. Today it was When Stars Collide's turn and this is probably the polish I were most curious about, mostly because it's different from all other holos I've seen.

When Stars Collide is a burgendy holo and I don't think that I have ever seen that combination before. Besides that the color is amazing this polish surprised me when it comes to its holo effect as well, just like with yesterdays Take a Trek. This turned out to be more holographic than I thought it would be. The formula was alright, a bit thick, but it was opaque in one coat and that is fantastic.

I'm getting more and more positive to the Hologlam collection for every polish I try out. I definitely do not regret that I bought them, I'm super happy!

Blå Måndag: China Glaze - Take a Trek

Precis som utlovat tidigare idag så kommer här ett inlägg för Blå måndag som ni vet så drivs temadagen numera av Lindas Nailorama. I mitten av förra veckan så hämtade jag ut ett paket med lacken från China Glazes Hologlam-kollektion. Jösses, vilka skönheter! Det har varit jobbigt att låta dem vara med fördel mot mitt påsktema men idag kunde jag inte låta bli längre. Så idag fick ett av dem pryda mina naglar och vilken perfekt dag för holo, solen har strålat hela dagen och jag kan ju säga att under min förmiddagspromenad så tittade jag mer på naglarna än på naturen runt omkring mig.

Jag måste erkänna att jag har varit jätteskeptisk till Hologlam-lacken, det var länge som jag tänkte att jag inte skulle köpa ett enda av dem. Mestadels på grund av vad jag har läst på amerikanska bloggar. Att de inte har lika stark holoeffekt som OMG-kollektionen, vilket mycket väl kan stämma, eftersom jag inte äger något av de lacken så kan jag inte riktigt uttala mig i den saken. Sen utifrån swatches, även det på amerikanska bloggar där lacken ärligt talat inte har sett så roliga ut. Men sen ändrade jag mig, mest av rädslan för att jag skulle ångra mig bittert om något år när inte lacken är så lätta att få tag på längre. Så nu finns alla tolv i min ägo och jag är obeskrivligt glad att jag ändrade mig. Titta bara på bilderna så får ni se varför.

Det här lacket är så sjukt fint! Jag kan inte sluta titta på den här första bilden. Förstår ni nu varför jag tappade lite fokus under min promenad? Jag bara ÄLSKAR det här lacket! Take a Trek är ett utav tre blå lack ur kollektionen, där detta är det mellersta lacket vad det gäller hur mörkt blått det är. Effekten kanske inte är lika häftig som med Color Clubs Halo Hues eller Layla men eftersom jag inte har testat något av de lacken så kan jag inte jämföra. Vad jag vet är att det här lacket är galet snyggt och den holografiska effekten räcker gott och väl för mig. Visst, den tappar lite inomhus i skuggan men det syns ändå att det är ett holografiskt lack. Jag har lagt till en bild, förvisso en rätt dålig sådan, sist i inlägget där ni kan se hur det ser ut inomhus i skugga utan lampljus.

På bilderna har jag två lager Take a Trek över Make Up Stores Aqua Base och det fungerar fint. Det var lätt att få på lacket utan vare sig holosjuka eller kala fläckar. Lacket har suttit på hela dagen nu och det är precis lika fint som när det först åkte på.

Inomhus - inside

Translation: Just like a promised earlier here's a post for Blue Monday which, as you know, runs by Linda's Nailorama. In the middle of last week I went to the postal office to pick up my package with the polishes from China Glaze's Hologlam collection. Gosh, the beauties! It has been a hard time keeping away from them to leave space for my Easter theme but today I had enough. So today my nails are wearing one of them and what a perfect day for holo, the sun is shining and I can tell you that during my walk today I looked more at my nails than the nature around me.

I have to admitt that I have been really skeptic towards the Hologlam polishes, for a long time I didn't want to buy a single on of them. Mostly because of what I had read on the American blogs. The the polishes didn't have the same holographic effect as the OMG collection, which might be true, since I don't have any of those polishes I can't really say anything in that matter. Then based on the swatches, also seen on American blogs, the polishes didn't look that fun to be honest. But then I changed my mind, mostly out of the fear that I would have huge regrets in a year or so when the polishes won't be so easy to find anymore. So now I have all twelve of them and I'm so happy that I changed my mind. Look at the pictures and you will see what I mean.

This polish is insanely beautiful! I can't stop looking at the first picture. Do you understand why I lost focus during my walk? I just LOVE this polish! Take a Trek is one out of three blue polishes in this collection, this one being in the middle when it comes to how blue it is. The effect might not be as amazing as with Color Club's Halo Hues or Layla but since I haven't tried any of these polishes I can't really compare. What I know is that this polish is crazy beautiful and the holographic effect is more than enough for me. Sure, it loses some inside in the shade but you can still tell that it's a holographic polish. I have put a picture, although not a very good on, at the bottom of the post to show you what it looks like inside in the shadow without light from any lamps.

On the pictures I'm wearing two coats of Take a Trek over Make Up Stores Aqua Base and it works great. It was easy to use to polish with out holo sickness or bald spots. The polish has now been on for the entire day and it looks just as great as it did when I first put it on.

Blå Måndag: Different Dimension - Homeboy

Ny vecka, ny Blå måndag och nytt blått lack. Som jag berättade för er förra måndagen så är det Linda som driver Lindas Nailorama som har tagit över Blå måndag från Mrs. Data. Jag tänkte att vi idag skulle fortsätta med Different Dimension-lacken, i alla fall de ur 80's Baby-kollektionen så att ni får se alla. Så vad kan då passa bättre än att ni får se det blåa lacket idag.

Homeboy är alltså den blåa varianten av dessa neon-lack med scattered holo. Det här är precis som Whatever som jag visade er sist, inte ett jättestarkt neonlack men väldigt fint för det. Formulan är fantastiskt, precis som den har varit med de två andra lacken jag har testat ur kollektionen. Det är väldigt lättlackat och blir opakt på två lager. 

Holoeffekten i de här lacken är inte speciellt stark alls och man får bara en hint av färgskiftningar i glittret men  det ger lacket ett fint djup. Jag älskar det här lacket, det är så snyggt och jag trivs alldeles förträffligt i det. Synd bara att jag måste swatcha fler lack idag så det åker av direkt.

Translation: New week, new Blue Monday and a new blue polish. As I told you last Monday it's Linda from Lindas Nailorama who has taken over Blue Monday from Mrs. Data. I thought that I should continue to show you the Different Dimension polishes, at least those from the 80's Baby collection. So what fits better than showing you the blue polish today.

Homeboy is like I said the blue version of these neon polishes with scattered holo. This one, just like Whatever that I showed you last time, isn't a very strong neon but it's still very beautiful. The formula is fantastic just like with the two other polishes I've tried from this collection. The application is easy and the polish is opaqued in two coats.

The holo-effect in this polishes aren't strong at all and you only get a hint of colorshiftings in the glitter but it does give the polish more depth. I love this polish, it's gorgeous and I love wearing it. Too bad that I have to swatch more polishes today so I have to take it off right away.
