Bad Apple - Red Cape

Då var det dags för mitt andra och sista lack från Bad Apple. Även det här är ett multikromt lack som ser mer duokromt ut på nageln. I flaskan skiftar det från vinrött till grönt till guld medan det på nageln mer skiftar mellan vinrött och guld.

It's time for my second and last polish from Bad Apple. This polish is also a multichrome polish that looks more duochrome on the nails. In the bottle it shifts from wine-red to green to gold but on the nails it shifts more from wine-red to gold.

Arkansas var svårt att fotografera men det är ingenting i jämförelse med Red Cape, det är jättesvårt att få med färgskiftningarna på bilderna men jag har försökt så gott jag bara har kunnat. Man kan se en liten skymt av guld i vissa bilder men annars är det mer vinrött.

Arkansas was difficult to photograph but that's nothing compared to Red Cape, it's really hard to capture the color shiftings on the pictures but I have done as good as I could. You can see a hint of gold in some of the pictures but it mostly looks wine-red.

Hur som helst så tycker jag om färgen väldigt mycket, jag har märkt att jag trivs bra i vinröda lack. Jag har nog faktiskt aldrig stött på ett vinrött lack som jag inte tycker om. Red Cape är inget undantag men det är något mer skirt än Arkansas och det krävs därför tre lager för att få det opakt.

Regardless I really like this color, I have noticed that I love wearing wine-red polishes. I don't think that I have ever come across a wine-red polish that I don't like. Red Cape is no exception although it is a bit more sheer than Arkansas and therefor it needs three coats to be opaque.

Bad Apple - Arkansas

Jag är superexalterad över att få visa er ett märke som är helt nytt för mig. Jag köpte två lack från Bad Apple för ett tag sedan, jag tror det var när CheapSmells hade rea. Jag tänkte att jag skulle visa er ett av dem idag och det andra lite senare i veckan. Båda lacken är multikroma och först ut är det blåa.

I'm super excited to show you a brand that is completely new to me. I bought two polishes from Bad Apple a while back, I think it was when CheapSmells had a sale. My plan is to show you one of them today and the other one later this week. Both polishes are multichrome and the first one is the blue one.

Bad Apple kallar de här lacken för 3D lack men det vet jag inte riktigt om jag vill hålla med om. Arkansas är i alla fall ett multikromt lack även om det upplevs mer duokromt på naglarna. I flaskan skiftar lacket mellan grönt, blått och lila medan det är den blåa och den lila färgen som är mer framträdande på naglarna.

Bad Apple is calling these polishes for 3D polishes but I'm not sure that I agree on that. But Arkansas is a multichrome polish even if it appears to be more duochrome on the nails. In the bottle the polish shift from green to blue to purple but it's the blue and the purple color that you see best on the nails.

Det räcker med två lager för att få lacket opakt och jag måste säga att jag gillar det här lacket riktigt mycket. Det enda negativa jag har att säga är att det torkar lite långsammare än vad jag är van vid, utöver det är jag hur nöjd som helst.

It's enough with two coats to get the polish opaque and I have to say that I really like this polish. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that it dries a bit slower than I'm used to, besides that I'm as happy as I can be.

Ginatricot - Blue Bug

Jag har sagt det förut och jag säger det igen, Ginatricot gör jäkligt bra lack. Idag tänkte jag visa er ett lack som jag fastnade för direkt när jag såg det i lackhyllan på vår lokala Ginatricot och det har verkligen inte gjort mig besviken. Jag äger förvisso inte så många duokroma lack så jag har inte så mycket att jämföra med men jag måste ändå säga att det här är fantastiskt vackert. Vilka skiftningar.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Ginatricot makes really good polishes. Today I'm going to show you one polish that caught my eye right away in the polish stand at out local Ginatricot and it hasn't disappointed me even a little. Okey, so I don't own a lot of duochrome polishes so I don't have a lot to compare with but I  have to say anyway that this amazing!

Först när jag jämförde namnet med vad jag såg i flaskan så blev jag lite fundersam. Blue Bug är kanske inte det första namnet som dyker upp när jag ser färgerna i flaskan. Visst det växlar lite, lite åt blått men är i stort sett mest grönt. Men sen när lacket hamnar på naglarna så klarnar det, det här lacket drar verkligen åt blått i vissa vinklar. Jag har gjort mitt absolut bästa att fånga alla färgskiftningarna som går från grönt till grön-guld till blått.

First when I compared the name to what I saw in the bottle I got a bit confused. Blue Bug is perhaps not the first name that comes to mind when I see the colors in the bottle. Sure it changes a tiny bit towards blue but it's mainly green. But when the polish gets on the nail it all becomes clear, this polish really do go towards blue in some angles. I have done the very best I can to capture all the color shiftings that goes from green to green-gold to blue.

Som ni märker var den gröna färgen den absolut lättaste att få med på bild, detta på grund av att det är färgen du ser när du tittar rakt fram på naglarna. Den blåa var klurigare att fånga för att inte ens tala om den guldiga nyansen. Hur som helst, formulan på det här lacket var bra. Det hade nog egentligen räckt med ett lager men jag testade ändå med två för att se om det gick att få intensivare färger. Möjligt att det gjorde en liten skillnad men inte alls så mycket så att jag kan motivera till ett extra lager. Lacket torkar dessutom lite långsamt vilket gör det ännu mera tacksamt att det räcker med ett lager.

As you can see the green color is the absolute easiest to get on picture, this because it's the color you see when you look straight ahead at the nail. The blue was a little bit more tricky to capture and we shouldn't even talk about the gold shade. Any how, the formula on this polish was good. It would have been enough with one coat but I tried with two in a attempt to get more intense colors. Maybe it made a tiny difference but not enough for me to say that you should do an extra coat. The polish dries quite slow as well which makes it even better that it's enough with one coat.

På bilden nedanför har jag nog lyckats fånga den guldiga nyansen bäst även om den inte är jättetydlig här heller. Sen på bilden nedanför den så ser ni en tydligare bild på hur blått det här lacket blir i vissa vinklar. Galet vacker, eller hur?

On the picture below I managed to catch the golden shade the best even if it's not that visible. Then on the picture below that you get a better picture of how blue this polish gets in certain angles. Crazy beautiful, right?

Så om ni bor i närheten av ett Ginatricot så tycker jag absolut att ni ska gå förbi och skaffa er det här lacket. Det är utan tvekan värt sina 39 kronor.

So if you live close to a Ginatricot I really think that you should buy this polish. It's without a doubt worth it's 39 SEK.

Grön onsdag: Color Club - Port-Folio

Det här kanske inte är det mest självklart gröna lack som jag visar er idag men jag tänkte att det kanske skulle platsa till Karins Gröna Onsdag i alla fall för lacket skiftar ju faktiskt i grönt. Idag står nämligen ett Color Club-lack på tur och inte vilket som helst utan Port-Folio som råkar vara ett av mina fåtal duokroma lack.

Lacket skiftar i lila och grönt och det är så vackert. Jag har försökt att fånga färgskiftningarna så bra jag bara kan men det här är det första dukroma lack som jag försöker mig på att fotografera och det var lite klurigt. Men ni kan ju se lite skillnad på bilderna i alla fall.

Lackets formula var något tunn och det har en tendens att rinna om man har för mycket på penseln men det var ändå opakt på två lager. Jag gillar det här lacket och dess effekt, får nog ta och införskaffa mig lite fler duokroma lack. Skulle gärna vilja lägga tassarna på Jades Diamond-lack till exempel.

Translation: This might not be the most obvious green polish that I'm showing you today but I thought that it might fit for Karin's Green Wednesday any way. At least it shift in green. The polish I'm showing you today is Color Club's Port-Folio, one of my few duochrome polishes.

The polish shifts in purple and green and it's so beautiful. I've tried to capture the colorchanges as well as I could but this is the first duochrome polish that I try to photograph and it was a bit tricky. You will see some difference in the pictures though.

The formula is quite thin and it has a tendency to run if you have to much on the brush but it's still opaque with two coats. I like this polish and it's effects. I think I have to buy more duochrome polishes, like the Jade Diamonds, I wouldn't mind getting my claws around those.
