China Glaze - Pom Pom

Har ni tröttnat på rosa lack än? Jag hoppas inte det för än är det några dagar kvar på Helenas och Pamsans United in Pink-vecka. Jag har visst många fler otestade rosa lack här hemma än vad jag trodde så att hitta lack att visa den här veckan har inte varit några bekymmer alls. 

Are you tired of pink polishes yet? I hope not because there are still some days left of Helena's and Pamsan's United in Pink week. I have a lot more pink untested polishes than I thought at home so finding polishes for this week hasn't been hard at all.

China Glazes Pom Pom släpptes sommaren 2010 i kollektionen Speciality och det här är ett superfint glitterlack. China Glaze är riktigt duktiga på glitter, det kan man inte säga något annat om. Just Pom Pom är ett rosa lack med en viss lila ton som sedan är fyllt av silvrigt glitter i olika storlekar. 

China Glaze's Pom Pom was released in the summer of 2010 in the collection Speciality and this is a super nice glitter. China Glaze is really good at glitters, you can't argue with that. Pom Pom is a pink polish with a touch of purple and it's stuffed with silver glitter in various sizes.

Till skillnad från gårdagens lack så är det här en dröm när det kommer till formulan. Här har jag tre lager men det är möjligt att det hade räckt med två. Lacket torkar snabbt och det är väldigt lättapplicerat, det torkar strävt som glitterlack så gärna gör så topplack är att föredra.

Opposite from yesterday's polish this is a true dream when it comes to the formula. Here I'm wearing three coats but it's possible that two would have been enough. The polish dries fast and it is very easy to applicate, it dries rough as a lot of glitters do so using top coat is a good idea.

Glitzology - Raspberry Beret

Igår fick ni se en av mina mest lyckade Etsy-beställningar och idag ska ni få se en av de mindre lyckade, eller mindre lyckad är kanske att ta i. Hur som helst så gjorde jag en beställning hos Glitzology och hennes Etsy-butik bokstavligt talat svämmar över med supersnygga glitterlack. Problemet är formulan, där har jag haft stora problem men vi kommer till det.

Yesterday I showed you one of my best Etsy orders and today you're going to see one of my less successful ones, ok maybe less successful isn't fair to say. Anyway, I made a order at Glitzology and her Etsy store which is literally overflowing with super gorgeous glitters. The problem is the formula, I had some huge problems there but I will tell you about that later.

Raspberry Beret är ett fullpackat glitterlack med glitter i rosa, lila, blå och turkost, det skiftar även lite i rött i vissa ljus och har både runda och fyrkantiga glitter. Det kanske inte är ett självklart rosa lack för veckans tema men det är ju mestadels rosa i alla fall. Tre lager har jag på bilderna. Det är riktigt snyggt och får verkligen naglarna att glittra men sen så var det ju det där med formulan.

Raspberry Beret is a stuffed glitter with glitter particles in pink, purple, blue and aqua, it shifts a bit in red in some lights as well and it has both round and square glitters. It isn't a obviously pink polish for this weeks theme but it is mostly pink. I'm wearing three coats in the pictures. It is gorgeous and it truly makes the nails sparkle but then there was the thing with the formula.

Det här lacket är riktigt, riktigt tjockt. Så tjockt att appliceringen är lite av en mardröm. Hur länge jag än väntar så torkar inte lacket, på så sätt kanske det inte är ett optimalt lack att använda för sig själv utan passar bättre till layering. Problemet där är att eftersom lacket är så tjockt så är det svårt att fördela det jämt över nageln. Efter att jag hade tagit de här korten så kunde jag dra bort hela lacket eftersom de nedre lagerna inte hade torkat helt och det efter lite mer än 45 minuter . Det är tråkigt för det gör att jag drar mig lite från att använda lacket vilket är synd då det är väldigt snyggt. Tyvärr verkar det vara liknande problem med resten av lacken jag beställde tillsammans med detta.

This polish is really, really thick. So thick that the application is a nightmare. No matter how long time I wait this polish just won't dry, and with that being said this polish might not be the best one to use on it's one and would go better as a layering polish. The problem there is that since the polish is so thick it's hard to spread it out even over the nail. After I had took this pictures I could pull all of the polish off since the bottom coats hadn't dried completely and that's after a bit more than 45 minutes. It's sad because it makes me not wanting to use the polish which is a same because it's so pretty. Unfortunetely it seems to be the same problem with the rest of the polishes that I ordered together with this one.

Different Dimension - Ditz

I februari gick jag loss på Etsy och shoppade hem en hel hög med lack från Different Dimension, det var framför allt kollektionen 80's Baby som lockade mig och de lacken är verkligen så fina som jag hade föreställt mig. Däremot har jag inte visat alla lacken för er än och jag tänkte därför passa på under denna rosa temavecka att visa lacket Ditz.

In February I went nuts on Etsy and bought a whole bunch of polishes from Different Dimension, it was the collection 80's Baby that had caught my eye and those polishes are really as beauitful as I had imagined. I haven't showed you all of them though so I'm taking the opportunity during this pink theme week to show you the polish Ditz.

Precis som resten av lacken i kollektionen så är även Ditz neonfärgat och fullt med det minsta holografiska mikroglittret man kan tänka sig. Formulan är en sann dröm, det glider över nageln som smör och torkar riktigt snabbt. Det som däremot kanske skulle kunna ses som en nackdel är att lacket torkar något matt tack vare dess neonkaraktär och topplack behövs därför för att få upp glansen och det jobbar emot den holografiska effekten som gör sig allra bäst utan topplack. Ja, ni förstår dilemmat. Men lacket är så otroligt fint ändå, jag är hur kär som helst i den här färgen!

Just like the rest of the polishes in this collection Ditz is neon and stuffed with the smallest holographic micro glitter you can imagine. The formula is a dream, it smooths out on the nail like butter and dries really fast. What can be considered as a negative quality though is that the polish dries matte thanks to it's neon nature and therefor require top coat to get some shine which works against the holographic effect that comes of best without top coat. Yeah, you understand the dilemma. But the polish is incredibly beautiful still, I'm so in love with its color!

Tyvärr var det fullständigt mulet ute när jag fotograferade det här lacket så holoeffekten är inte så tydligt men ni får ändå en liten hint av den. Men färgen! Visst är det ett fantastiskt lack?

Unfortunately it was completely cloudy outside when I photographed this polish so the holo effect isn't as visible as I would like but you can still see a hint of it. But the color! Isn't it a fantastic polish?

Deborah Lippman - Sweet Dreams

Helenas och Pamsans temavecka United in Pink fortsätter och jag är med även idag, ska verkligen göra mitt bästa med att försöka få ihop ett inlägg för varje dag under hela veckan. Idag tänkte jag visa ett Deborah Lippmann-lack för det var längesen som detta märke fick stå i centrum på bloggen.

Helena's and Pamsan's theme week United in Pink continues and I'm joining today as well, I will really try my very best to try to get together one post for each day the entire week. Today I thought I would show you a Deborah Lippmann polish because this brand hasn't been in focus on this blog for a long time.

Lacket heter Sweet Dreams och är enligt mig supersnyggt! Den här veckan kanske kommer få mig att hitta tillbaka till min kärlek för rosa lack som jag hade tidigare innan andra färgen tog över den platsen. Sweet Dreams är ett rosa jelly fullproppat med guldiga flakes och det är bara så snyggt! Faktum är att det här lacket har funnits i min samling länge och jag fattar inte varför jag inte har testat det tidigare.

The polish is called Sweet Dreams and in my opinion this is gorgeous! This week might bring back my love for pink polishes that I used to have before other colors steped in and stole that place. Sweet Dreams is a pink jelly stuffed with golden flakes and it's just so beautiful! To be honest, I've had this polish in my collection for quite a while and I don't get why I haven't tried it before.

Liksom Heat Index som ni fick se igår så bygger den här jellyn på bra också och tre lager räcker för att få resultatet ni ser på bilderna. Tyvärr så lyckades jag inte riktigt fånga flakesen på bilderna men de finns där och de syns tydligt med blotta ögat.

Just like Heat Index which you saw yesterday this polish builds up excellent as well and three coats is enough to get the result you see in the pictures. Unfortunetely I didn't catch the flakes very well in the photos but they are there and they are very visible to the eye.

United in Pink!

Det har varit tyst här på bloggen ett bra tag nu, jag har inte tröttnat och jag tänker inte sluta, det behöver ni inte oroa er för. Det är väl snarare så att motivationen inte har varit så stor det senaste för även om det kanske verkar simpelt att ha en blogg så ligger det faktiskt en massa arbete bakom varje inlägg och jag har helt enkelt haft svårt att hitta ork till att fotografera och skriva. Men nu börjar motivationen komma tillbaka igen, jag har ju saknat bloggen och framför allt mina fina läsare.

It's been quiet on this blog for a while now, I haven't gone sick of it and I'm not going to stop writing, you don't have to worry about that. It has more been a lack of motivation that have been the problem lately and even if it might seem like a simple thing to blog it's actually a lot of work behind every post and I have simply had a hard time finding the energy to photograph and write. But the motivation is starting to come back again, I've missed the blog and above all my lovely readers.

Jag tänkte slå på stort så här på dagen av min återkomst och haka på Helenas och Pamsans temavecka United in Pink som de har startat för att uppmärksamma att oktober är månaden då Rosa Bandet jobbar extra hårt för att samla in pengar till förmån för bröstcancerforskningen. Detta innebär att hela veckan kommer vara fylld av snygga rosa lack är och på andra svenska nagellacksbloggar.

I thought I would go out big today on my return and tag along with Helena's and Pamsan's theme week United in Pink that they started to pay attention to that October is the month that Pink Ribbon works extra hard on collection money for the benefit of breast cancer research. This means that this week will be full of gorgeous pink polishes not just here but on other swedish polish blogs as well.

Först ut den här veckan är detta otroligt vackra rosa lack från China Glaze's sommarkollektion Sunsational Neons On the Shore. Kollektionen består av både krämlack och jellys i vackra neonfärger och detta, Heat Index, representerar ett av jellylacken.

First up this week is this unbelievably beautiful pink polish from China Glaze's summer collection Sunsational Neons On the Shore. The collection has both cremes and jellys in beautiful neon colors and this one, Heat Index, represent the jellys.

Heat Index är som sagt ett jellylack och därmed även skirt men jag måste säga att jag tycker att det bygger på riktigt bra trots detta. På bilderna har jag tre lager och visst, det är en tydlig VNL men ändå, tre lager med det här resultatet är bra.

Heat Index is like I said a jelly and because of that also sheer but I have to say that I think that the polish builds up well. On the pictures I'm wearing three coats and sure, there's a VNL but still, three coats with this results is good.

På bilderna har jag inget topplack och som ni kan se så är lacket något matt precis som många neonlack gärna blir. Så för extra glans behövs helt klart topplack.

On the pictures I'm not wearing any top coat and as you can see the polish is pretty matte as a lot of neons tend to get. So if you want extra shine a top coat is recommended.
